It was July 11, 1995. We had just left having our 25th anniversary dinner at the Yellowstone Hotel in Yellowstone National Park. We had consumed a bottle of wine and a full bottle of champagne. We were drunk! But we had to get back to our Canyon Village room. I started driving but thought better of it since it was totally dark. I pulled over and went for a walk by the river, trying to sober up. I pulled out the camera, and decided to try taking a photo of the full moon shining on our anniversary over the Yellowstone River. It didn't occur to me that a bear might be lurking in the darkness. But lucky for me there wasn't.....just total silence and the full moon reflecting off the river. The cool air and the concentration taking the photo must have sobered me up. I had no trouble after that. We got back to our room safely.
It wasn't until today that I tried scanning the negative. This is what I got.
