Untours Cafe

We will be in Tuscany North, Calci in October. We are planning an overnight to Vernazzia in the Cinque Terre. We are interested in suggestions on where to leave the car. Some logs we've read suggest parking in Pisa, taking the train to LaSpezia, transferring to the local train in to Vernazzia. Others have said to drive to LaSpezia and then take the local train in. Any pros or cons on these two options? Any other suggestions?

I can't suggest anything about parking because I usually travel by train in Italy. We spent 4 days in Manarola (second town from the bottom) and it was wonderful. While you are in le Cinque Terre, you must have pesto. Pesto was supposed to have been invented in Vernazza. Unfortunately, it was so good, it has ruined pesto for me here in the US.
