Thanks for answering and offering help. I went out to your site and saw that you live in Minnesota. My brother lives in Plymouth, outside of Minneapolis and my aunt and uncle had a place on a lake in Pine River for many, many years, so I've been to Minnesota many times.
I noticed that you've been to Quebec and enjoyed it. I went there several years ago with my mother on an Elderhostel trip. Since my mother is Belgian and speaks French, she enjoyed it very much, especially in Quebec City and being able to converse everywhere in French. It really is like being in Europe, but without the jet lag!
Marilee Taussig is going to open a new discussion board for me so I'm looking forward to hearing ideas from others on entertainment ideas for "tweens."
Thanks for responding, Linda. My question(s) were about the neighborhood around our apartment, The Convention in the 15th Arrondissement, 2 rue de la Convention. Am looking for dining and food shopping suggestions and comments on the apartment itself if anyone had used it. Also any general hints. My focus is on Impressionist art so I'm for the Marmatton, the Orangerie, and the D'Orsay and maybe the Delacroix. Since my grandaughter will be with me and since is our first trip to Paris we will do the usual places. We are also going to Versailles and Normandy. Leaving Tuesday so a quick reply would be appreciated if you can help. Thanks again. Bill Ferguson
P.S. I guess my blog did not take since it included my questions.
I saw your note on IdyllChat about Quebec. I tried to find your comments on your page and on Triplogs but could not locate them. I will be spending some time in Sept. this year in Quebec City and Montreal and would be interested in reading your comments. Can you clue me in as to how to find them. This will not be an Untour for me even tho my wife and I were regular Untourists starting in 1989 and enjoyed each one. Bill Logan - my e-mail address in email@example.com.
Thanks for your help. I have printed your blog for my trip. My home page is a little deciving. It shows me and my late wife. I haven't been going to the Cafe for a while so it need updating and hopefully I will get that done soon.
I live in Shelbyville, Ky., only 20 miles from Frankfort.
