In the months since our 2008 Untours in Leiden, Holland and the tiny Alsatian village of Beblenheim, I have been sketching along the California central coast near our home in Morro Bay. Just up the coast highway is Cambria, where I go out with the "Wednesday Irregulars," a great group of artists who paint in the "plein air" tradition. This is a fancy way of saying that we paint outdoors, beginning and completing our work in a couple of hours -- then gathering for the world's least threatening critique over a bag lunch. Mostly, I paint land and sea scapes in oils, often working very large (as big as 4 feet square). My work may be seen at this website: http://homepage.mac.com/boby1/PhotoAlbum1.html
We will travel in Italy in the fall. I'll come back with an armload of new sketches! I hope you enjoy looking at my drawings a bit as much as I have enjoyed doing them. Avanti!
