There are many common threads which seem to connect us as "Untourists". Our love of travel and discovering new and exciting culture as well as the bonds we make with fellow travelers, Untours staff, and the wonderful people in the countries we visit. It also seems as though we are appreciative of the many opportunities afforded us through travel. Whether it be the outpouring of love to hosts who have left us, respect and admiration of a job well done by people of another country, or simply the gentle and honest understanding that we all are sharing this great planet. I also imagine many of us respect the work being done through the dedication of those involved with the Untours Foundation. Having felt many of these things myself I searched for a way to "give back" and do my part in this cultural sharing. To that end, my family has hosted an exchange student this year from Germany. It has been a phenomenal way to both enrich my children through the exchange of culture and give something back. I would encourage the readers on this "cafe" to consider this as another way to "travel". Happy Travels!
