Highlights of laundry day in Sachseln.
Sunday, April 25, 2004. Sachseln, Switzerland.
While waiting for the wash, we ventured up Talacherweg to see where it led.
Talacherweg turns into a grassy path. The sound of an invisible babbling brook was in the air as we made our way uphill.
We thought we were imagining things until we got to the top. Here where the path ended in some stairs, the imaginary brook suddenly became real. The brook was hidden until then under a canopy of grass along side the path.
At the top we could enjoy a gorgeous view of Sachseln and the Sarnersee.
At 7:20pm the last load of wash seemed like it would need another 25 minutes to dry. Before going to bed, I grabbed the camera, climbed the hill above Chalet Berit, and tried in vain to capture a digital version of the last rays of sunshine dancing down the streets of Sachseln. As Eleanor would say "It's like being in a movie!" That day we logged 4.13 beautiful miles.
