For anyone planning a trip to Paris, I suggest watching the movie, Paris, Je T'aime. Eleanor's cousin, Richard, and his girlfriend, Danielle, recommended this movie. It's about a series of short love stories set in different Paris locations, some familiar, some not familiar. A few of the stories are "off the wall" (vampire love story!). One of the stories (not the vampire one) takes place in Cimetière du Père Lachaise. This cemetery is more beautiful than I realized. The location shots are very good. The beginning of each story segment identifies the location. I found myself shouting out many of the locations before they were identified. I guess my map study and reading is finally paying off.
So if you have been to Paris or plan to visit Paris, I think you will enjoy the scenery in this film. All I know is my heart is beating faster now, and I'm suddenly aching to look through my camera viewfinder at the real Paris.
