These last photos you uploaded are AMAZING. Can you tell me why the color is so vivid in this last batch?

Do you have a really good film developer too? One that developes them in true colors. That was always a real problem with film cameras.

I sent your picture of the Oeschinensee to a photographer friend of mine who once called it a mudhole. Enough said!

I've enjoyed all your photos this morning. So much so I almost forgot to eat breakfast! It's easy to see photography and hiking are your passions!! Lucky for the rest of us. Thanks

Are you going to be in Switzerland again next month? If so, I'm very jealous as that is the time that I am there year after year. But this year because of family I had to go in June. Happy hiking and I look forward to the photos.

Love your Matterhorn photo for your ID. If you put a big cloud over the tip of it, that's what we finally saw when we were there. hehe.

Kemp, these are wonderful images --- the alpine scenery, yes, but also the offbeat pix like that optic shop in Sion . . . the 1st class train compartment seen from adjacent track . . . the children's fence, etc. As it's doubtful that I could get up those high trails it is really terrific to do those hikes through your eyes! I can well understand why you want to return to Switzerland, but can make a strong case for trying the Umbria and Tuscan Untours . . . I see you were in Locarno, where Sally and I did our first Untour. Great stuff! Bob

Thanks for your comment, Kemp. There are so many wonderful places to travel, it's hard to decide where to go next!

Your photos are beautiful....so crisp and clear...I just use a point and shoot and sometimes am not very happy with the quality....but it is easier than carrying around lenses!

They do make walking sticks that convert into tripods and also fit in a suitcase. I don't know how good they are and they run about $100. In fact, I think Hammacher Schlemmer has one on sale right now for $99.
