Judy - we ended up not doing the Three Pass tour. We were a little early, since we were in Switzerland the last 2 weeks of June, and the snow was still pretty deep at the passes. It is by bus; as I recall, you change buses at some point to complete this tour. I found it in the Untours book that we received - I'm not sure that you have gotten yours yet, but it is VERY useful in suggesting things that aren't frequented by a lot of other tourists. The only place we went where there were a lot of American tourists was when we went to Wengen, and hiked is the shadow of the Eiger. But we found we enjoyed more doing things like going to a Yodeling Festival in the small town of Naters, and going to the Woodcarvers' Trail outside Brienz. All of the things we enjoyed the most were things we found in the books that Untours provided us, rather than things wefounf in other tourist books. Hope this helps. Barbara Linsert
