Don't know about either of them Fred, but I'd also appreciate any info from those who have stayed in Max 1. We have it booked for next September. I can find all kinds of general info online about the area, but hearing from someone who actually stayed in it would be nice.
We have stayed in the Alcarez apartment twice. It is nice and we would recommend it; we just want to experience something different next time.
We have not stayed in Max 1, but it does look pleasant. And I'm sure you would enjoy being there with Max and Regine; they are nice folks.
I would also like to hear about the apt. & neighborhood. We have it reserved for last week in March 2010. It would be interesting hearing about cafes, bars, grocery stores, Do you use the public transport? Did you enjoy your stay in MAX 1? Did you do any day trips you thought were outstanding?
Have just returned from our 2-wk. stay in Provence. . .Margaillan I. Not as charming as one we stayed in in Tuscany but certainly very adequate and very convenient drive into Isle sur Sourgue and the Intermarche for grocery shopping. For those staying in Isle sur Sorgue our favorite restaurants were Lou Nego Chin, Le Bouchon and La Guinguette for all-you-can-eat Moules et Frites on Fri. night!! In St. Didier our favorite place for lunch was Cafe de Paris (several times).
We will be in Provence in June and are staying at the Hermann. Have any of you stayed there and would you share some of your pros & cons? We have been in this area a couple of times before but not with Untours.
Sorry I'm late getting back to this, but our stay in Max 1 was outstanding! Regine and Max were excellent hosts. Isle sur Sorgue is ideally located to tour the region, but then again, so are the other locations. Everything is very close in Provence if you're used to driving in North America. I have some pictures in the gallery, with more to come. Or you can check out our webshots page at http://community.webshots.com/user/woodbrown
