The picture above is so typical of Provence. We had a wonderful two weeks here exploring from Provence to the coast. There is such a variety of things to do and see - you never run out of ideas. Our good experience here led us to give Paris a try later - another excellent Untour city!

My mother and I will be going to Provence June 3-18th. We will stay at the Pascal property just out of Vanasque. Can you give us some suggestions? We like out of the way places and non touristy areas. Thank you for any help.

How do you pronounce L'Isle-sur-Sorgue phonetically? I have tried to figure this out while working on my french and can't.

Pam: I think it's "Isle sur le Sorgue", pronounced
Eel (as in the fishy creature) Sir (as opposed to Madam) le (you know this one) Sorg (as in sorghum). At least, that's pretty close!

Question:
We will be in Provence for seven days in September. We fly into Marseilles to pick up our car. I know the distance from Marseilles to Provence differs depending on which village we go to. WE WOULD LIKE TO VISIT A WHILE IN MARSEILLES --WOULD THAT BE POSSIBLE?

Thanks

We will be in Provence two weeks in early June, staying at the Hermann. Is wi-fi available? If not are there cafes where you can 'catch up' on line?

My friends and I will be staying in Isle-sur-Sorgue for 2 weeks in September.  Does anyone have ideas about places to visit or things to do? Merci bien!

Sandra, you'll love Isle-sur-Sorgue in September.  Make sure  you take in the big market day in the town.  Also make sure to visit Fontaine du Vaucleuse (sp?).  Lots of really good stuff within a short driving distance.
